The ACT (Advocacy, Coalition Building and Transformative Feminist Action) programme represents a strategic partnership between UN Women, the European Commission, and the UN Trust Fund to End Violence against Women (UNTF). This innovative initiative aims to eliminate violence against women and girls (VAWG) through coalition-building, feminist advocacy, and strengthening women's rights organizations, with a particular focus on Latin America and Sub-Saharan Africa. WACOL's research project titled 'Her Voice' is an 18-month project supported by UN Women West & Central Africa Regional Office (WCARO) with the aim to investigate and contribute to a more nuanced understanding of VAW in West and Central Africa, and to inform data-driven advocacy and capacity enhancement efforts for more effective prevention and response strategies. Conducting research on the key ways climate change and digitalization are impacting VAW in WCAR juxtaposed with submissions as contained in the country desk review report, utilization of the shared methodology guide and fieldwork instrument(s).
